And yes, I do agree with you. I agree with the issue about users not making full use of the resources they have available. Just recently I had to reinstall version 11 on my computer and order to do that properly and to pick a different program directory for Dragon NaturallySpeaking and at the same time I registered my product and got myself a proper username. I don't recall if I had received a username before or not, I couldn't find anything in my records.

Anyhow, with a new registration and a new username and installing in a different directory the program came up and worked right the first time in Windows XP. I am talking about version 11 for home use.

As you mentioned, version 13, the one that is being currently advertised on Amazon for home use, was released about the same time that Windows 10 was released. When using Dragon Home. Also can I receive software on a disk? There certainly is a learning curve. It took me a while and spent a bit too much on microphones and the like without seeing much progress. What unlocked it for me was a voice recorder.

It took me away from the screen, stopped me from trying to correct as I went along and it gave me the flow Dragon needs for good accuracy.

Where it is brilliant is transcription and note-taking ie from books and other written material. As a bonus, you become much better at reading out loud too.

I am dictating this currently with DragonDictate professional. I am entirely impressed with this program in hhow fast it is and how accurate it is. It is imperative however if you use this program that the environment be reasonably quiet and that you use a microphone from Dragon. If you use another microphone, it will be fraught with mistakes. This dictation was dictated in real time with no errors. Is this correct? You should only buy this program if you want to be angry all the time.

The ridiculous number of idiosyncrasies to this program are unreal. The new one is that I can be speaking a line of text and realize that what I said was not exactly inputted correctly. I go to fix that spot, then put the cursor back to where the next sentence begins, but every time I begin my dictation it returns to the spot where I made the correction. This will happen 10 times in a row until I finally have to shut the program off.
