Calculator pop up windows xp

The Calculator applet that comes with Windows XP is basically the same as the one that came with Windows 3. If you've always wanted an updated Calculator applet with some more advanced features, you owe it to yourself to download and install Microsoft Calculator Plus. Microsoft Calculator Plus has a vastly improved interface over the old version, and even sports a transparency feature that allows you to see through it when it is on the screen but not the active application.

If you prefer, you can change the interface to Classic View, so it looks just like the native Windows XP Calculator while maintaining its advanced features. In addition to the Standard and Scientific views, Calculator Plus provides you with a very comprehensive Conversion view. In fact, there are 11 conversion categories, which include such items as Length, Volume, Weight, and even Currency.

While the layout and operation of the Currency conversion feature may behave erratically, it does work. Keep in mind that Microsoft Calculator Plus, like the Microsoft PowerToys, is a free product and not officially supported by Microsoft. Members Current visitors. Log in Sign up.

I searched the hard drive and there is one other copy of the calc. It doesn't seem to have a shortcut that I could see. This post suggests it could be a keyboard hardware issue, but I find that a little hard to believe.

The legal profession might be a good entry point for Ubuntu or another flavor of Linux. And perhaps some inertia as well. I mean, Wordperfect is dead to the world, and yet it hung on. I could contemplate a Linux Small Office product leveraging some kind of customized Open Office and office management apps together, maybe throw in some other bells and whistles, some kind of transcription help. And all docs are copied outside the virtual system before close.

Wine has worked for some streaming media applications. I have dual boot but intentionally never set up the XP completely no email or anything as a safety measure.

Its still sitting there…. I have known them get corrupted and become cross-linked to the program with the nearest name still on your computer say after an incomplete uninstallation. Those are good questions. SYMPTOMS: Programs may quit, start, or lose and gain focus randomly; text in programs may be unreadable; and the logon screen may appear to be controlled by someone who is remotely connected to the computer.

Thank you for the tip.
